Welcome!

I’m Luiza, an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and Integrative Counsellor with over 15 years of experience supporting people through life’s challenges. I work in a compassionate, trauma-informed way, drawing on approaches such as CBT, EMDR, ACT, and Mindfulness to help clients overcome difficulties and move towards growth and resilience. In my practice, I often integrate techniques such as guided imagery, eye movement processing, and meditation, which can be powerful tools in supporting healing and growth.

My own lived experience of mental health distress has deepened my understanding of how hard life can feel at times — and also how meaningful change is possible. Together, we can explore what may be holding you back, uncover new perspectives, and build healthier ways of coping.

Alongside my clinical work, I place great importance on cultural sensitivity and offer therapy in both English and Polish. I also provide clinical supervision for counsellors and psychologists, with a particular focus on preventing burnout and nurturing professional wellbeing.

  • My journey as a psychotherapist began while working with young adults in the community who were facing severe mental health challenges. From the very start, I discovered a deep passion for supporting people in times of distress and walking alongside them as they found new ways of coping, building resilience, and moving towards their full potential.

Over the years, I trained as a CBT Therapist and went on to train as an Integrative Counsellor. I have since undertaken further specialist training in body and process based approaches. This has enabled me to adapt my approach to meet the unique needs clients I worked with in both the NHS and private sectors for the last 15 years. I currently work at one of the largest NHS Trusts in London supporting staff who may be subjected to trauma and safety incidents. This work has been extremely rewarding, especially through my contribution to prevention of burnout by the staff supporting patients on every day basis.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and hold EMDR UK Accreditation. I am also registered with British Association of Mindfulness Based Approaches (BAMBA) and a qualified Mindfulness Supervisor (Mindfulness Network).

My work is trauma-informed and also shaped by my own lived experience of recurrent depression and PTSD. This has given me a deeper empathy for the struggles many people face and strengthened my commitment to providing therapy that is both compassionate and effective. In my practice, I often integrate techniques such as guided imagery, eye movement processing, and meditation, which can be powerful tools in supporting healing and growth.

I believe that when we are going through a difficult time, therapy can provide a safe space to explore our emotions, reflect on past experiences, and take steps towards meaningful change. By becoming aware of patterns rooted in the past, we can begin to shift unhelpful thoughts and behaviours and create healthier ways of living.
